Yesterday, I decided I wanted to DM this module, just for the hell of it
We're going to need a group of VERY committed players for this one The game is estimated to last about two years game time... yeah...
The players will begin at level 1 and should expect to level up through epic.
Character Creation Limitations
- ECL 1, no templates, no races with LA/RHD
- Standard starting equipment, character background may allow special items to an extent
- Series allowed: Core, Races, Complete; if you want something else, ask
- All that's required by background is that your character eventually ends up hearing of a great treasure on a far away mountainous area, where they meet a group of strangers that you decide to adventure with. Anything else you come up with is entirely up to you.
- For stats, roll 4d6, keeping the best three, 6 times. Roll all at once on invisiblecastle.com/ Use your character's name in the name spot, and "stat rolls" in the info block
- 100% HP at start 75% for every level after 1
- Submit character sheets at www.thetangledweb.net/profiler/ or any similar character record site.
- bookmark invisiblecastle.com/ for dice rolls once the game starts
Some recommendations
- Don't be a druid. You're in a dungeon, so expect little to no nature... I won't stop you, but you won't be that useful...
- Take a useful craft skill. Someone should at least know craft (blacksmithing). You will be in this dungeon for an obscene amount of time, so you won't be in the position to easily return to a nearby town to repair your sundered armor or broken lockpicks.
- Wizards should note that there won't be anyone to teach you more powerful spells readily available. The only way to add new spells to your repertoire is to graft scrolls right into your spellbook.
- Dungeons are dark. This really seems like a given, but I just want to remind people that you might want to bring a way to light your path if you don't have darkvision
