(Alright, there's no easy way to start off this thing in a cinematic way that won't reveal too much about the dungeon's history... so I'm not going to ) As you climb the mountain, having met at the base, rocks and debris slow your ascent. Numerous tracks of different creatures ascend the hillside. The climb levels off as you get closer to the cave mouth. You see a man the size of a galleon lying on the ground at the cave opening. As you get closer, you can see that death has taken him. Despite his obviously decomposed state, the man does not exude the odor of decay. There are no signs of a struggle. Who was he, and how did he die? mapthe book has no map for this area, and it doesn't really need one. If you can play this game, you can imagine a mountain pass with a cave at the end

You can tell that the giant man is... thoroughly dead...
As for the cave, you can tell that it is roughly a 10' wide by 10' tall tunnel made of large mineral based non-organic solids (a.k.a. rocks). It seems very solid, in terms of structure. And as far as you can tell, it's not a magic tunnel.
as for spotting and listening, you see a rather large, dead person in front of the cave, and blackness inside. It seems quiet directly inside the cave.
The body itself doesn't appear to offer any sort of magical aura, however, you find that there is exceptionally powerful magic on his person. Further inspection reveals that he has chain armor and a halberd that appear to be glowing with magical power to you. They are, however, far too large for any normal person to wield, or even carry without being crushed.

You hold the light up to the dark cave and you can see that it continues along in darkness far beyond your torch's light. A loud draft comes through the cavern, nearly extinguishing your light.

Slobek cautiously walks through the mountain pass, morningstar and shield at the ready, and emitting an aura of toughness to prepare for any possible attack. He was warned by Agaziel that many evils awaited him in this land, and he was prepared for any of them. As he gazes towards the cave's mouth, he sees a robed elf stabbing at a man on the ground and rage overcomes him. Immediately he barrels towards him shield-first, but by the time he gets there, the elf is already busily studying the cavern. Nonetheless, he exclaims "Surrender, foul cretin!" and attempts to ram the elf to the ground. Bull rush (+4 str, +2 charging): invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1533879/((Note: I don't think it provokes attacks of opportunity since it's a surprise round, but I'll leave that up to Acclue. EDIT: No, I'm just trying to push him, whether down on the ground or into a wall or whatever. After that, it depends on how he reacts, but I'm currently ready for combat.))

Initiative: invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1534285/Slobek successfully drove his shield hard into the side of the elf, sending him stumbling away. He uses the opening to assume a defensive position, awaiting the inevitable counterattack. During this time, he calls out to the elf. ELF! That was your warning! Surrender now peacefully and do no more harm to this world! I will not stand idly by while watching you kill innocents!

Huor turns around quickly at the sound of the fighting. Yelling as loud as she can, she says, "Both of you stop it! He's clearly far to large to have been killed so easily and you don't look hurt by that bump he gave you at all!"
((OOC: Isn't the dead body the size of a large ship? Like, Colossal?))

Slobek lowers his defenses and carefully puts away his morningstar and shield. He approaches the two strangers, still wary of any retaliation. He eyes them over quickly before relaxing, realizing that neither means him any harm.
I'm sorry for my somewhat violent behavior, but I was sent here warned that many evils await, so I'm finding it a bit hard to trust anyone.
He offers out his hand to the elf.
I'm Slobek Icante, warrior of the dragon Agaziel. I've been tasked to train here against the toughest evils this land has to offer. What cause do you have for coming to such a forsaken place?
